Patrick Guerrand-Hermès:
The Visionary Behind Morocco’s Polo Legacy
When Patrick Guerrand-Hermès, a titan in the polo world, looked at the windswept dunes of northern Morocco, he saw more than just land—he saw possibility. With the encouragement of His Majesty Hassan II, Guerrand-Hermès founded the PGH La Palmeraie Polo Club in Rehouna, nestled between Asilah and Larache, with the Atlantic Ocean as its dramatic backdrop.
This wasn’t his first rodeo. In the 1980s, he had already left his mark by creating a private polo club in Marrakech’s Palmeraie, planting the seeds of Morocco’s growing polo tradition.
Today, the PGH La Palmeraie Polo Club stands as a beacon for polo enthusiasts worldwide, a testament to Guerrand-Hermès' unyielding passion for the sport and his love for Morocco’s timeless beauty.
